Archiving Policy

The Anbar Journal of Engineering Sciences (AJES) is committed to the long-term availability, accessibility, and preservation of its published scholarly content. The journal maintains an archiving and digital preservation policy to ensure that articles published in AJES remain available to readers, researchers, and indexing systems over time.

Authors’ Self-Archiving Rights

AJES is an open access journal, and authors retain the right to archive and share their scholarly work. Authors may deposit the following versions of their manuscripts in personal websites, institutional repositories, academic networks, or other non-commercial and scholarly platforms:

  • The preprint version,
  • The accepted manuscript,
  • And the published version of record, including the final PDF published by the journal.

No additional permission is required from the journal for such archiving, provided that the article is correctly cited, the journal is acknowledged as the original place of publication, and the official publication link is included whenever available.

Official Digital Archiving Locations

AJES preserves and makes its published articles available through its official online platforms, including:

  1. The official AJES journal archive on the journal website:

            https://ajes.uoanbar.edu.iq/ajes/issue/archive

     2. The Iraqi Academic Scientific Journals (IASJ) platform, where the journal content is also archived and made                          accessible:

          https://iasj.rdd.edu.iq/journals/journal/view/484

These official online locations support the discoverability, accessibility, and continuity of AJES content.

Digital Continuity and Preservation

AJES seeks to ensure the continuity of access to its published content through more than one official digital location. By maintaining the journal archive on the AJES website and through IASJ, the journal reduces the risk of loss of access resulting from technical interruption, platform failure, or accidental data loss in a single location. This dual online availability supports long-term access to the journal’s scholarly record.

Integrity of the Scholarly Record

The journal is committed to preserving the integrity of the published version of record. Any post-publication updates, corrections, withdrawals, or retractions are handled in accordance with the journal’s editorial and publication ethics policies, so that the scholarly record remains transparent and reliable.

Open Access Availability

As an open access journal, AJES provides immediate and free access to its published articles. Archiving and preservation practices are intended to support the continued availability of this content for researchers, institutions, and the wider academic community.

Recommended Citation and Repository Posting

When authors deposit AJES articles in repositories or personal academic pages, they should include:

  • The full article title,
  • Author name(s),
  • Journal title,
  • Volume, issue, and year,
  • Page numbers, where applicable,
  • Doi or article URL, where available,
  • And a statement that AJES is the original place of publication.

Policy Review

This archiving and digital preservation policy may be updated by the journal, when necessary, in order to improve preservation practices, strengthen platform reliability, and support the long-term accessibility of published content.
